Devices

Devices and protocols — sauna, cold plunge, red light therapy, air filtration — are structurally harder to study than a pill: you can't blind someone to whether they're sitting in a hot room. Evidence here leans more on observational and physiological trials than the double-blind RCTs common elsewhere on the site. That's a real limitation, not a reason to dismiss the category — read the study design behind the grade, not just the grade itself.

A

HEPA air purifiers are a well-established, evidence-backed tool for reducing airborne allergens and particulate matter indoors — direct relief of allergy and asthma symptoms is plausible but less consistently supported.
